Extension Springs

Extension springs are normally tightly wound helical springs that extend under a pulling force. Compared to compression springs, extension springs need additional considerations. These include attention to the differing stresses in the hooks, initial tension, deflection of the hooks and provision for overstretching during assembly must be made.
